Who we are Independence is a trading name of Freedom Living Ltd, established in 2004 and privately owned.

With extensive experience in the care sector, we have identified the need for a Residential setting that paves the way towards independent living. Living independently is a big transition for any individual, even more so with a Learning Disability. What we give is all the principle parties and the person themselves the ‘breathing space’ needed to ensure the right choice is made, alleviating anxiety and uncertainty when making such a life changing decision.

Who we care for We believe compatibility and meeting needs is far more crucial than fitting criteria.

Why Us Permanent placement into Residential Care is not always desirable, but the vast leap into Independent Living is sometimes far too daunting. At Independence we bridge that gap and offer an alternative choice.

We offer all the essential life skills training that pave the way towards Independent Living. We are all guilty of allowing our parents to do far too much for us, that is why we encourage our residents to do as much for themselves as their capabilities allow and for families to see just how capable their loved ones can be.

Our Fees We have a competitive core fee with additional individualized fees to meet needs.
